FAQs
Got questions? Good. Here's everything you need to know about our products, how they're made, what to expect when you order, and how Tiny Forge handles the details. If something's not covered here, reach out and we'll sort it out.
Monster Balls
Are they suitable for kids?
These are display pieces, not toys. We recommend them for ages 12 and up. Some models include small parts or pieces, so they're not suitable for young children.
Do they open?
Most are solid display pieces with no moving parts. Check the individual product listing for details.
My order arrived with some parts unattached. Is that normal?
Only a small number of our designs require any assembly. If yours is one of them, the parts will be unattached to avoid damage in transit and glue will be included in the box. Most designs arrive ready to display straight out of the box.
Aren't these just Pokéballs?
They're inspired by the same design, but each one is reimagined as a specific character. The colours, patterns, and details are all unique to that character rather than being a standard Pokéball.
How big are they?
Standard Monster Balls are roughly 10cm x 10cm x 10cm, although some models are larger depending on the design. Charizard's wings and Gengar's tongue are good examples. Mega Monster Balls are 2x the size in every dimension, which significantly increases the volume and weight of the print.
How many colours do they come in?
It varies by design. Most balls use at least 2-3 colours, and some use up to 8. All colour comes from the filament itself, nothing is painted or hand-coloured after printing.
What filament do they use?
Most are printed in Bambu PLA Matte. Some models use specialty finishes like silk filament on specific parts, for example the cannons on Blastoise.
Can I display them without a stand?
They'll sit fine on a flat surface on their own. If you want something more display-friendly, we sell stands separately that work with all standard sized balls. We don't currently have stands for Mega Monster Balls.
Can I request a specific character?
If the design isn't listed in our store, you can order it through our Custom Monster Ball page. This lets you pick from designs we haven't printed yet and get it made to order.
Why do they have lines on them?
Layer lines are a natural part of FDM 3D printing. Every print is built up layer by layer, so they'll always be there to some degree. Spherical shapes show them more than most, which is why we print at a lower layer height than most sellers to keep them as clean as possible. For a deeper look at how that works, check out our Layer Height in FDM Printing page.
Orders
How long does it take to receive my order?
Most orders are printed on demand and ship within 2-3 business days. Larger orders may take a little longer. We'll keep you updated once your order is in the queue.
What happens after I place an order?
You'll get a confirmation email straight away, and another one when your order ships with a tracking number included.
Can I get my order by a specific date?
We can always try. Leave us a note at checkout or select express shipping and we'll reach out to do our best to make it happen.
Do you include anything extra with orders?
Every first order comes with a small gift from us. It's always something from our store, so it's a proper print, not a sticker or a card.
Can I cancel or change my order?
If your order hasn't started printing yet, get in touch as soon as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
Can I order in bulk?
Orders under 15 items can be placed directly through the store. For anything larger, get in touch first and we can work out the best approach.
Do you combine shipping on multiple items?
Shipping is free on all orders, so there's nothing extra to combine. Where possible everything goes in one box. If it can't all fit, we'll split the shipment at no extra cost to you. If you have two separate orders going out at the same time, we'll try to combine those too.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Afterpay through our secure checkout.
How is my order packaged?
We pack everything carefully in sturdy boxes with bubble wrap and shredded paper. All parcels are marked fragile.
Can I get a discount?
You read the FAQs. Fair enough. Use code IREADTHEFAQ at checkout for 5% off your order.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You'll receive a tracking link once your order has been dispatched.
Do you offer custom prints?
Yes. If you have something specific in mind, reach out and we can work through the details with you.

About Tiny Forge
Who runs Tiny Forge?
Tiny Forge is run by Luke and Inna, a two person team based in Melbourne. It started as a hobby, printing things for ourselves, and grew from there.
Where are your products made?
Everything is printed by us in Melbourne. We don't outsource any of our printing.
Do you have a physical store?
No, we're online only. We ship anywhere in Australia for free.
Why Tiny Forge?
We care about the quality of every print that leaves our workshop. That's really it. We started printing because we loved it, and that hasn't changed. You can read more about why here
How can I get in touch?
You can reach us through the contact form on our site, by email at sales@tinyforge.co, or via live chat. We're also on TikTok, Facebook and our other socials. We try to get back to everyone within the day.
What is the Graveyard?
The Graveyard is where prints end up when they don't quite meet our standard. A small flaw, a colour shift, or a result that just didn't sit right. Rather than bin them, we sell them at a serious discount, sometimes up to 80% off. They're perfectly functional prints, just not ones we'd sell at full price.
